Preceptor network priority

Turn your clinical experience into a clearer path for a nursing student.

Build a professional preceptor profile, describe your specialty and preferred format, publish availability, and decide which placement requests deserve your time. Marketplace membership is currently 100% waived.

A practical workflow

Control your profile, schedule, and decisions.

LocatePreceptors keeps discovery, placement requests, communication, documents, telehealth coordination, clinical-hour review, and payment status connected to the same marketplace record.

1

Describe your practice

Add specialty, location, professional background, on-site, telehealth or hybrid preference, and the availability you want students to see.

2

Review relevant requests

Assess the proposed dates, hours, budget, school requirements, student information, and placement expectations before responding.

3

Work from one record

Use role-based messages, documents, calendar tools, session links, hour logs, completion actions, and Stripe Connect onboarding when enabled.

Who may be a fit

Experienced clinicians who want a structured way to consider students.

Requirements differ by school, profession, specialty, facility, employer, insurer, licensing authority, and jurisdiction. Creating a profile does not guarantee approval, student demand, placement, income, or payout.

  • Choose only dates, specialties, settings, and supervision arrangements you can support.
  • Confirm facility authorization and professional obligations before accepting a student.
  • Review each student and school requirement independently; platform status is not a substitute for those checks.
  • Keep patient identifiers and protected health information out of marketplace messages and general educational notes.
Questions clinicians ask

Know the boundaries before you join.

Does joining guarantee student requests or income?

No. Supply, demand, approval, placement completion, payment, and payout timing vary. Review each opportunity and its displayed terms before making a decision.

Can I offer telehealth preceptorship?

You can describe telehealth or hybrid availability where appropriate. The school, program, specialty, site, licensing rules, supervision model, privacy requirements, and payer or employer policies must allow the proposed activity.

Does an admin-reviewed profile replace credential checks?

No. Schools, facilities, employers, insurers, licensing authorities, students, and preceptors retain their own verification and approval duties.
